Last day in Vegas

Jacuzzi testing!!! That's how we started the last day in Vegas! We had 2 hours left before check-out and we thought we couldn't leave the upgraded room with a jacuzzi without actually trying the jacuzzi!!! I kind of overdid the foam – poured a miniature bottle of shower gel and put on the bubbles, result: LOTS of foam!! I love my bubbles, but I don't like baths...too hot!! Anyways, we didn't have much time, we had to repack our suitcases to fit them within Delta's regulations...

We checked out, just on time and managed to forget the Vegas guide book in one of the bags we left at the bell desk and I had to go back and get it and got heavily hit on by the bell boy!! But it was sweet... First stop was just across the square: Serendipity 3 and their famous Frrrozen Hot Chocolate!! I took the small one and it was huge!! Cédric wasn't that hungry and just took a breakfast sandwich.... IT WAS A FOOT-LONG ONE!! With TWO N.Y steaks and 3 eggs on top!!! And he said it was the best steaks he had had in a very long time!!

So after downing 10 000kcal, we started walking. First Paris Hotel, just to remind us what home looks like (which is, of course, like Versailles). We then decided to go and see the Stratosphere and its wacky attractions – which was SOOOOO far away!! And it was hot and walking downtown, we saw that all of Vegas isn't fabulous; most of it looked very cheap and tacky...

It took us 1 hour (including a funny Harley-video I'm trying to upload) and when we arrived we decided not to do the attractions, but just enjoy the view of Vegas and the people who did take the hallucinating attractions; hanging out from the tower.... Insane!! The casino itself was the most kitsch place I've ever seen and you do not want to see the waitresses... ugh!!

On our quest to see the famous Welcome to Las Vegas-sign ON THE OTHER SIDE OF TOWN – we stopped by Treasure Island – very Pirate of the Caribbean – Excalibur (just looked extremely fake) and Luxor's light beam going into space. After 2 hours of walking (the last mile we were the only pedestrians) and sore feet complaining, we finally arrived at the sign -along with a tourist bus!!! We rushed to get some pictures alone, got them and ran!! Taking the sky train from Luxor to Excalibur, we saved half a mile, but walked back to the hotel going through New York, New York where I got myself a candy apple for $11 (!!), walked back to Caesars, picked up our luggage and left for the airport. Cédric had a bit of overweight, but we managed to rearrange the suitcase and got in – just in time to know that the plane was overbooked!! We thought we might get our ticket reimbursed by proposing to get on another flight, but sadly it didn't happen... We got on the plane on schedule at 11.15p.m and collapsed after a whole day of WALKING...
